The Sourcing Contract Specialist is responsible for full contract life cycle management as well as reviewing agreements and achieving corporate compliance as it relates to corporate policies to execution. As the Sourcing Contract Specialist you will provide technical and functional support in the area of contract administration for Chamberlain Group providing guidance to all stakeholders engaged in contractual relationships with outside suppliers. This role interacts with internal user departments and outside suppliers to facilitate and execute the contractual process, and reporting on over-all organizational compliance. The Sourcing Contract Specialist manages risk mitigation, assurance of best in class contractual terms/conditions, and stakeholder alignment.
Sourcing Contract Specialist Responsibilities:
Manage contracts life cycle, including review responses to agreements and other legal documents to assess whether or not the modifications are acceptable, and finalize document to execution
Review and edit legal forms (track changes within Word) and documents for accuracy
Review RFP response documents to highlight areas of concerns for future agreements
Work with Legal department and other key stakeholders to develop standardized terms and conditions for documentation
Organize with significant attention to detail to manage the traffic flow of contract documentation
Responsible to track agreements and report out to key stakeholders
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed
Sourcing Contract Specialist Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required in Business or Agreement Management. Advanced degree preferred
A Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Sourcing with contract management; or paralegal with emphasis on contract compliance management
The activities in this role are expected to be project based responsibilities and require business and technical acumen with sound thinking, judgment, influencing, project management and communication skills for successful interaction and alignment across the corporation and supply base
Manage confidential information and develop trusting relationships, using a high degree of tact, discretion and diplomacy
Demonstrate management skills with ability to independently learn processes and procedures
Excellent communication skills written, oral, and presentation
Tolerance for complexity and ambiguity, strong self-management skills
Demonstrated proficient interpersonal, and listening skills
Microsoft Office expertise required especially Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Experience with Adobe, Ariba, and Docusign
Willingness and ability to travel up to 5%
