Krendall Orren is seeking a highly motivated individual to work for its client as a Procurement and Logistics Specialist. This Procurement and Logistics Specialist will work in a dynamic environment, taking on broad procurement responsibilities with ongoing opportunities to demonstrate leadership and guidance in all procurement and logistics activities. In addition to core competencies as a Procurement and Logistics Specialist, high emphasis is always placed on maintaining a culture of collaboration, positive attitude, strong work ethic, critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, efficiency and performance accountability.
The Krendall Orren Our client is a global manufacturer of technically advanced specialty materials and complex components. Their products support diverse markets and industries such as aerospace and defense, oil & gas, electrical energy, medical, automotive, and other industrial markets. The Procurement and Logistics Specialist is responsible for supporting and directing the procurement of supplies and services.
Primary responsibilities include:
Review and process daily purchase requisitions with a focus on providing consistent customer service
Participate in supplier negotiations and prepare bidding documents, as well as discuss pricing, payment terms and freight arrangements
Support the Operations and Engineering teams with timely responses
Partner with approved suppliers to develop and maintain relationships to support the procurement process
Research and evaluate potential new or alternative suppliers to determine capabilities
Work to support processes in coordination with receiving & accounting departments
Create purchase order in accordance with request for company goods and services
Maintain and coordinate real time delivery of components to vendors
Responsible for coordinating all inbound and outbound shipments for products and services
2 – 5 years experience required (manufacturing environment preferred)
Knowledge of and experience with ERP systems
Proficient in Microsoft Office Software Suite particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
Knowledge of international shipping preferred
Ability to communicate and work with all levels of staff in various departments
Possess a strong work ethic with a high degree of attention to detail and organization
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
