Sr. Acquisition Specialist with experience implementing Federal and DHS procurement life cycle management requirements (e.g., FAR, HSAR, HSAM,). The individual will perform on a team as well as an individual contributor providing procurement and/or acquisition support including outreach to program managers and CORs on development and submission of procurement packages and facilitation of COR training workshops for topics covering the acquisition and procurement. Outreach includes advising CORs on navigating procurement processes. It also includes providing “hands-on” support to develop and submit procurement packages, including coordinating with applicable stakeholders.
Applies general knowledge of Federal Government procurement principles, policies, procedures, concepts, standards, terminology, and business systems.
Applies knowledge of procurement life cycle process and supports development and preparation of procurement documents (e.g., market research, developing acquisition plans, drafting cost estimates and scopes of work, requirements gathering, drafting source selection plans and other procurement artifacts.
Key contributor on IPTs from an procurement perspective
Provides advice to Program Managers, CORs, Branch and Division Managers, and other stakeholders regarding the Procurement Life Cycle (e.g., DHS AD 102)
Reviews and updates applicable databases and reports with applicable procurement action information
Performs quality reviews of procurement and acquisition documents.

8+ years and a Bachelor’s degree
Current DHS Suitability
Thorough understanding and experience working with the Procurement Lifecycle is required.
Knowledge or experience implementing performance based services acquisition (PBSA) is preferred
Acquisition Lifecycle knowledge desired
Preference will be given to those with high level industry certifications (e.g., DAWIA (Acquisition/Contracts/PM, PMP, NCMA, etc.)
