USA Environmental, Inc. is seeking a Contracts Administrator for its Oldsmar, FL Corporate Office. The position will report to the Director of Contracts and will require working with both prime and subcontracts for Federal, State and 3rd party environmental programs.
The Contracts Administrator will have frequent contact with USA Customers and Suppliers, which may require travel at times, and will also support bid and proposal activity.
A minimum of 7 years contracting experience is required.
Qualified candidates must have a B.A./B.S. degree in Business, Purchasing, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
Preparation of responses to contract terms and conditions.
Drafting and negotiation of contracts, subcontracts, and various types of contract agreements.
Awareness of commercial issues such as the significance of a change in customer requirements.
Team player with the ability to influence decisions and work with multiple project/program personnel simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to identify change and support change process to improve effectiveness of the business.
Essential Job Skills:
Strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communications are needed; must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook; Government accounting software experience such as Deltek or Unanet is helpful.
A strong working knowledge of Federal Government contracting (e.g. FAR/DFARS) is a must
Familiarity with Customer/Supplier RFQ/RFP processes, cost or pricing data, and terms and conditions.
Experience working with fixed price, cost reimbursement, and time and materials contracts.
Familiarity with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), U.S. Navy and/or previous work experience at an environmental engineering, remediation, or munitions response firm desired.
Certifications through NCMA (CFCM, CPCM, CCCM), ISM (C.P.M.), or DAIWA a plus.
Proven contract negotiation skills as well as exposure in developing pricing models in response to customer solicitations under U.S. government cost and pricing guidelines.
