Adams & Associates, a 100% employee owned company that currently serves youth through the Department of Labor’s Job Corps Program, seeks a dynamic Director of Business Development to help the company expand its business to other federal agencies, based out of either our Reno, Nevada or Columbia, Maryland offices. This person will work with the company’s leadership to explore how our resources can best be leveraged to fulfill other federal agency’s contracting needs. They will also explore opportunities for the company to partner with other entities to increase federal contracting business.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of and extensive experience with the federal contracting process, including various types of contracts and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). They will be responsible for providing company leadership with in depth analysis of contracting opportunities and work with staff to write proposals. They will actively develop a network of contacts and potential partners to expand the company’s influence in the federal contracting space.
Bachelor’s degree or higher required. At least 7 years of experience in government procurement with either a federal agency or a federal government contractor highly preferred. Familiarity with the various types of federal contracts and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) is required. Excellent writing skills, preferably with experience in response to RFPs, is preferred.
