BAE Systems (US) is seeking an experienced contract administrator to join the Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) team in our Stafford, VA office. As a Principal Contract Administrator on the ACV program, you will act as a trusted business partner to the team and serve as a primary liaison with the USG customer. This position requires an extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in government contracting methods and applicable laws and regulations. Strong business acumen and the ability to work proposals and manage contracts in accordance with company policies and customer requirements is necessary. Responsible for building and maintaining dependable, quality relationships with internal and external customers in support of ACV business objectives.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Maintain in-depth knowledge and working understanding of USG acquisition and procurement environment, relevant company policies and applicable regulations, such as FAR, DFAR, ITAR, etc.
Complete bid and proposal efforts with limited supervision:
Prepare summaries and develop strategies and recommendations with attention to financial and business risk.
With minimal direction, research and make recommendations on proposal, contract language and terms, conditions and assumptions.
Review cost and technical volumes for accuracy and consistency.
Coordinate to ensure appropriate reviews are scheduled and conducted.
Prepare proposal documents for submittal.
Lead negotiations and collaborate with customers to definitize and complete actions.?
Assure proper interpretation of contracts and actively participate in the resolution of complex business issues.
Advise management of rights and obligations, risk mitigation and strategy.
Support Program Managers, Product Line Managers and Business Area leads and provide contracts advice and counsel.
Maintain logs and assist in data collection for reporting.
Maintain contractual records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
Draft and negotiate misc. agreements and coordinate legal reviews.
Foster and maintain sound and reliable business relationships with counterparts in customer organizations.
Knowledge of regulations such as FAR, DFAR, ITAR, etc.

Ability to draft moderately complex, non-routine contractual instruments

Preferred Skills and Education
Experience with Marine Corps or Navy contracts
