The Contracts Administrator II/III reports directly to the Manager, Procurement. This position is responsible for the purchase of high dollar supplies, equipment, services and construction through formal solicitation methods (IFB, RFP, SOQ) using public purchasing policy and procedures. Administer resulting contracts through closure. Work independently on multiple complex projects. Negotiate the most complex contracts, contract renewals, amendments and plan changes.
Candidates will be considered for the Contracts Administrator II or III based on qualifying work experience.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in purchasing or a related field. Related experience may be substituted on a one-for-one basis up to four (4) years.
• (CPM) Certified Purchasing Manager, (CPCM) Certified Purchasing Contracts Manager, (CPPO) Certified Public Procurement Officer, (APDP) Acquisition Professional in Supply Management or similar certification preferred, but must obtain within one (1) year of employment.
• Six (6) years of procurement experience including either five (5) years in government or transit related field using formal solicitation methods and contract administration; or five (5) years supervisory experience in Procurement or directly related field.
• Recent experience using computers, conducting internet research, and with word and spreadsheet (Excel) applications. Experience using Microsoft AX a plus.
Salary Range: $61,939 to $89,089 ANNUALLY
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
