Multiple positions are available directly supporting the Contracts Officers and COTRs of intelligence community R&D, information technology, and mission-focused intelligence organizations. The available roles lie at the juncture of science, technology, and acquisition and help advance critical national security missions.
While specifics will vary, in general these roles can be described as:
Job Duties: Prepare solicitations, contract packages and modifications. Draft technical requirements which integrate multiple stakeholder inputs. Assist in the evaluation of technical and cost proposals.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; 5+ years of experience with Federal Government acquisition processes and contract-writing tools. Ability to function independently or as a member of a larger MITRE and Government team. Excellent formal and informal communication skills, including strong writing and briefing skills.
Desirable factors: Prior experience as a Federal Government Contracting Officer, Contracting Specialist, or Contract Administrator; experience developing and validating cost estimates in support of government procurements; experience performing cost/price analysis on contractor proposals; experience with government budget planning and contract execution.
Successful candidates must currently hold a TS/SCI with polygraph.
Positions are available in Bethesda, MD; Reston, VA; and McLean, VA.
