To support Tactical Air’s contract and government compliance requirements, the Contracts Specialist position is an integral part of an elite team of professionals who get things done, enjoy working together, and are committed to growing with this fast-moving company. This position is in Tactical Air corporate offices in Lexington Park, Maryland. The ideal candidate for the Contracts Specialist position will be professional, highly-productive, and responsive to the needs of the company, co-workers, and customers. The primary role of this position will be to support the technical and functional administration of prime/subprime contracts and ensure compliance with government regulations and company procedures. The Contracts Specialist will perform a variety of duties including create, modify, and execute purchase orders, various contracts, and consultant agreements; coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors on contractual matters; negotiate contracts and budgets; assist with government reporting; and submit notifications or other contract requirements.
The key desirable and preferred requirements for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related discipline.
Five years’ government contract administration experience.
Knowledge of negotiations and bid/proposal process.
Experience with full lifecycle contract management and contract types (CPFF, FFP, IDIQ, and T&M).
CPCM, CFCM, CCCM certification advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide excellent customer service.
Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple roles and projects.
Ability to read, listen to, and understand information and ideas verbally and in writing.
Occasional travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required.
Ability to obtain U.S. government security clearance.
Creativity, positivity, and confidence.
The successful candidate for this position must be able to travel to and/or relocate to Lexington Park, Maryland. Tactical Air will not provide reimbursement for travel or relocation expenses.
