IIT Research Institute (IITRI) is a Chicago-based research and development organization focused on the biomedical sciences. We provide laboratory-based drug discovery and non-clinical development services to pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotechnology companies worldwide, as well as to the National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, and other branches of the federal government.
We are currently seeking a Manager of Contracts to join our senior administrative team. The successful applicant will collaborate with scientific leadership to develop and implement programs to achieve budgetary goals and ensure compliance with sponsored research contracts. Extensive knowledge of the federal contracts administration AND Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) is required. Responsibilities also include mentoring and motivating staff to ensure effective operational performance.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field; an advanced degree and/or professional certification is strongly preferred. Must have 10+ years of experience in proposal preparation and in the negotiation and management of contracts with the federal government and commercial entities. Extensive knowledge of the federal contracts administration AND Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) is required. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are critical. A security clearance may be required after employment.
