Responsibilities of the Contract Administrator
Contract Administrator will perform tasks over the entire contract life cycle within delegated contracting authority thresholds from “cradle to grave” including, but not limited to the following: acquisition planning; solicitation preparation; source selection; contract award; administration; ordering; close out. Responsibilities include but are not limited to supervising / managing day-to-day procurement activities, managing temporary procurement support staff and preparing solicitations, amendments, awards and modifications for assigned requirements.
Contract Administrator will perform all duties associated with a competitive procurement process of preparing and issuing Request for Proposals (RFP), Invitation for Bids (IFB), Request for Quotes (RFQ) and Blanket Purchasing Agreement (BPA) through award. A successful Contract Administrator will also Chair Pre-Proposal / Pre-Bid meetings, chair Source Selection Committee meetings and make recommendations to management.
Compensation for the Contract Administrator
Full-time Salary: $60,000.00 - $75,000 /year, DOE

Requirements of the Contract Administrator
5 years of contract administrator experience developing complex contract awards
3 years of TRANSIT contract administration
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Contract Administrator must demonstrate knowledge of range of contract types, including professional services; fixed-price and cost reimbursable contracts; service and supply contracts; construction
Must have strong oral / written communication skills as well as demonstrated negotiation skills
