A Lead Contracts Specialist is an individual contributor accountable for functional, business and broad company objectives. In this role, you will manage complex issues within your functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, contract negotiation, process implementation and improvement and contribute to the overall business strategy. You will develop practical and innovative ways to identify and meet short term and long term business goals.
We have positions in multiple locations;
Evendale, OH (need a security clearance)
Perform as the principle contracts focal point for your respective Product Group and assigned Customers
Provide advice and counsel to the Product Business Leader on contractual matters
Provide advice and counsel on contractual matters to all other functional areas as required
Develop a deep understanding of products and product strategy
Effectively interface with all functions of the business including Manufacturing, Program Management, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Comm Ops and Legal
Provide creative solutions / alternatives to meet client requirements
Support the New Product Induction Tollgate Policy through attendance at tollgate
Support the Sales team through the development of contract risk mitigation strategies in support of new business opportunities
Review, draft, interpret, flow-down and administer contracts for the sale of GE products or services from RFQ to Contract Close Out
Lead / support single P&L contract negotiations with customer
Lead and participate in special projects as may be assigned
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Finance, Legal, contract negotiation or related field)
Minimum of 3 years of experience with contract formation and execution, negotiations, or related field
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Proven negotiation skills
Knowledge of contract law and formation
Knowledge of Commercial and Government contracts
Demonstrated ability to take lead role in routine contracts
Ability to influence others and lead small teams
Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
Effective problem identification and solution skills
Proven analytical and organizational ability
Recent Law school or Business degree graduate from an accredited university or college
