To review customer contracts, terms and conditions and government solicitations and ensure the Company complies with customer requirements, Federal Acquisition Regulations(“FAR”) and other regulations. Provide advice on Trade Agreement Act (“TAA”), small business set aside and unrestricted solicitations as well as U.S. flag shipment requirements, Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) and solicitation protests, when necessary.
This position reports to the Director of Contracts and Counsel. This position requires extensive contract knowledge, FAR, TAA, FOIA, and related government contract experience. Evaluate country of origin and Customs and Border Protection (“CBP”) rulings to ensure the company is in compliance with government regulations. Review, evaluate and provide advice on government solicitations. Search government websites for new solicitations. Prepare Certifications and Representations as required for solicitation submissions. Utilize Microsoft Office software as well as online computer searches and related technologies. Review and provide advice on terms and conditions for new customer orders as well as other company contracts and agreements. Prepare and review non-disclosure agreements (“NDA’s”).
• Accident prevention – correct and/or report any unsafe working conditions before they result in an accident • Identify and implement efficiency improvements, cost reductions and profit improvement initiatives • Review customer terms and conditions during the quoting process to evaluate compliance requirements, resources needed to execute the contract and costs involved. • Search government websites for new solicitations where the company may choose to participate • Research FAR, TAA, FOIA, CBP and similar regulations as required • Evaluate customer quality inspection and reporting requirements. • Interact with the CEO, COO & CFO and sales executives in regard to government solicitations and customer PO terms and conditions • Assist the Director of Contracts and Counsel with special assignments • Interact with outside legal counsel as required • Review customer terms and conditions to manage the company’s liability risks • Prepare and review NDA’s. • Other duties as assigned. • Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

Education: College degree (Law or graduate degree a plus). Knowledge of FAR and related government regulations. Knowledge of legal contracts, quality reporting requirements and terms and conditions.
Experience: 5-10 years of government contracting or contract review experience.
