A week in the life of a Contract Administrator:
Interprets contract policies, procedures, methods, operating practices, and performance standards for the AMERICAN SYSTEMS Contracts office.
Responsible for the review, negotiation, and administration of Prime Contracts, Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, Task Orders, Contract modifications, Teaming and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
Responsible for interfacing with contract specific subcontractors to develop, negotiate and administer Subcontracts, Task Orders and Purchase Orders.
Responsible for providing subcontract status to senior management.
Responsible for management and administration of company contracts to ensure compliance with all contractual terms and conditions (cost and technical).
Reviews and resolves all issues affecting company compliance and ensure satisfaction of legal requirements, company, and customer objectives.
Interfaces with Government/Customer Contracting personnel. Provides contractual guidance, advice, and support to in-house management and Program Mangers, including interpreting terms and conditions, monitoring contract performance and performing contract close-outs in accordance with applicable regulations.
Responsible for generating contractual correspondence for cognizant contracts.

BS or BA degree in a Business-related discipline preferred.
4 Years of specific experience as a Contracts Administrator in Federal Contracts Administration.
Familiarity with Commercial Contracts and Agreements.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to interact with all levels of management and with Operations personnel.
Demonstrate abilities with practical applications of personal computers and basic application software to include Word and Excel at a minimum.
Detailed knowledge of Federal Government Contract Types and an advanced working knowledge of the FAR.
Experience in negotiating price, terms and conditions and multiple types of contractual Agreements to include but not limited to Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Memorandums of Understanding, Master Service Agreements, and Subcontracts.
