ASSETT, Inc. is seeking a full-time Contracts Administrator to join our team and work out of our Manassas, Virginia office.
This position is responsible for critical contractual formation and management and advises company management as to risks and their mitigation. This position requires a high degree of independent and creative judgment applied to high-level goals and objectives of the corporation.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Independently establishes high-level contract strategy, including terms and conditions, and successfully negotiates all contractual arrangements
Provides contractual subject matter expertise in implementation, execution, and administration of prime contracts and subcontracts
Participates in the development of business alliance and partnering, acquisitions and divestitures, source selection procedures and process, and make or buy determinations
Provides guidance in all contract matters to company staff
Provides contracts training to company staff
Formulates contract administration policy and procedures for the company
Lead negotiation responsibilities for the company
Understands a business case and has an appreciation of financial/analytical issues and profit and loss implications associated with effective contract performance

Bachelor’s degree preferred in business and 5 years of contract administration experience working for a defense contractor
Commercial contract experience, including as a subcontractor to defense contract prime contractors
Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, as well as, advanced analytical, critical thinking, and negotiation abilities
Excellent presentation, teambuilding, and leadership skills
Confidence in formulating contract strategy and presenting to company management
Ability to perform in a support role to company lines of business
Possesses a good perspective on the defense business environment and technology trends
Subject matter expert in FAR and accounting under Government contracts
Experience with SBIR/STTR contracts desired
Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Level Clearance
Strong Skills in MS Office suite of applications.
Experience with Deltek Costpoint Contracts module a plus
Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM)
Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM)
