Duties: Senior level accounting management position that focuses on business operations and accounting of an established DoD and NASA contractor in the Huntsville area. Provide management and specific work products for the Accounting Division to include cost analysis and control, ICE schedule to DCAA, HAS and VEBA account management, year-end Deltek procedures and reports, management of accounts payable and payroll, and primary point of contact for all business function related audits. Support proposal development to include developing the cost / price submissions and participating in the bid strategy and proposal meetings. Review and enhance company policy and business processes to ensure responsive and comprehensive support for all contracts and customers. Review monthly cost reports. Work with senior management to develop strategic plans for new or existing customers. Participate in marketing meetings and bid/no-bid decisions. Analyze proposal requirements, ensure adherence to contract requirements and review adequacy of company policies. Provide recommendations to resolve emerging issues with all operations.
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in related field.
Months/Years of Experience: Ten (10) years’ experience (three (3) years minimum in management.
Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship. Extensive experience in MS Office / SharePoint and Deltek Costpoint. Extensive experience in pricing strategies and developing DoD cost proposals. Extensive experience in DCAA audits and Contract Audit Manual. Extensive experience in all accounting functions and cost accounting standards. Understanding of tax laws, FAR clauses, DFAR, DCAA practices, and accounting for various types of contracts.
Desired Qualifications: Certifications in related field. Cognos experience; Federal Procurement experience; ADP experience.
