The Subcontracts Group of the Purchasing Department is responsible for the solicitation, negotiation, award, documentation, administration, and closeout of subcontracts. The team assists Project Managers in all phases of the subcontract.
Objectives of this Role:
Solicit, award, and administer Subcontracts and Subawards to support Institute clients.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
Solicit, negotiate, award and administers subcontracts to support contracts with Institute clients
Solicit proposals, conduct cost/price analysis, negotiate and finalize subcontracts and other agreements (subgrants, CRADA's, etc.)
Administer subcontracts to include closeout duties
Perform all other duties as assigned
Bachelors with a 3.00 GPA in Business or related. Master's Degree a plus.
0-5 years of experience with Contracts or Subcontracts negotiation, award and administration.
0-5 years of experience with government requirements, primarily FAR and 2 CFR 200 (or OMB Circular A-133), administering Government subcontracts
Thorough knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as well as current experience with 2 CFR 200 or OMB Circular A-133 requirements and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements is a is beneficial
Experience with personal computers
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word experience
Knowledge of general business practices and procedures is required
A valid/clear driver's license is required
Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR work in section.
