The Proposal Manager will co-ordinate and produce the proposal (RFI, RFP etc.) response whilst assembling a proposal team with the relevant service / product / business knowledge required to win. Responsibilities include introduction and implementation of all necessary proposal procedures and processes. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. This position will report to the Vice President of Operations and Business Development. This position reports to the Corporate office located in Austin, Texas.
The overall responsibilities fall into the following areas:
Delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined time frames.
Coordinate and review / edit proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from operations, sales, marketing, finance, rehab, contracting, HR, and legal.
Communicate and influence at a senior level.
Ability to coach sales teams and subject matter experts in persuasive writing and proposal best practice.
Document template management in line with company branding.
Scheduling and running proposal kick-off meetings, key review meetings / final document review, and coordinating proposal governance / sign off, and document production.
Assist with maintaining the Business Development databases.
Support business development and marketing activities, including trade/ conferences, mailings, etc.
Participation in the Performance Evaluation program is required.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
5+ years’ experience in proposal management, development and delivery.
Working knowledge in technical business proposals (Government and Commercial).
Knowledge and understanding of Government Contracting strongly preferred.

Operations of Windows applications and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft (Word, Excel, etc.)
Strong ability to communicate, orally and in writing.

This is primarily a sedentary position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 20 pounds or less.
Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard.
Must have the hand/eye coordination necessary to operate office business machines (calculator, phone, fax, copier, etc.) and a personal computer.
Hearing and speech sufficient to verbally communicate in person and on the telephone.
Mobility to frequently alternate between sitting, standing, and moving about the facilities.
Limited travel required.
Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
Ability to pass criminal and motor vehicle checks.
Work is performed primarily indoors.
Telecommuting is allowed.
