Sr. Contracts Specialist - Federal

The Sr. Contracts Specialist role requires thorough knowledge of the rules and regulations of government contracting and understanding of the requirements of government sales. The Sr. Specialist will be responsible for providing administrative and management support to a portion of the MAXIMUS Federal Contracts Department portfolio. The successful candidate will serve as the primary Contracts point of contact for an operating unit within the Federal segment, support proposal activities, as well as performing the entire contracting life cycle from award and execution to close-out and archiving. The Sr. Specialist will work with Contracts Department Managers, Directors and VP, Business Development and client-facing company VPs, Directors and Program Managers on contractual activities both pre-and post-award.

Min Qualifications: US Citizen Experience in any of the following areas – Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Lead compliance tracking in all areas of performance required by the contracts and vendor agreements. - Provide client, project, operations and corporate compliance reporting and analytics. - Monitor and reports on Service Level Agreements (SLAs). - Meet with subcontractors, vendors and third party auditors. - Develop business continuity, disaster recovery and document archiving reports. - Oversight of external auditors and vendor quality assurance audits. - Deliver regular compliance updates to project management. - Ensure staffing/operations/quality management plans appropriately updated. Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience; Advanced degree or professional designation preferred. - Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems. - Work requires considerable judgment and initiative. - Exert some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
