The Research Institute (TRI) at Western Oregon University is seeking a Financial and Contract Specialist for the Center on Early Learning and Youth Development (CELYD). This full-time 1.0 FTE appointment is renewed through an annual appointment, dependent upon satisfactory job performance, continuing project needs, and/or available funding. Center on Early Learning and Youth Development works to improve the quality of care and education available to all young children and their families in order to promote optimal development and full inclusion.
The university typically only considers visa support for employees placed in specialized positions that are continuing regular university appointments for multiple years.
Bachelor’s degree and/or specialized education, training in accounting, financial management, business administration, or related subject
Minimum three (3) years of experience in accounting and/or financial management which included budget development and monitoring and preparing fiscal reports
Strong analytical, organizational, and oral/written communication skills
Demonstrated knowledge in standard computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite)
Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated passion for customer service
Ability to work harmoniously as a team player history
