We are seeking a Cost Price Proposal Analyst for our Corporate Administration Team.This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and “hands-on” individual to help craft the future of this corporation via strategic pricing research & proposals. This position is located in Torrance, CA.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop, implement, and validate the pricing process, which integrates cost estimates, schedules, and technical content.
Lead the evaluation of reasonableness and acceptability of cost proposals and contracts for critical technologies that assist our service members defending our freedom at home and abroad.
Partner with world-renown scientists and innovators to advance scientific discovery through developing winning proposals (e.g. BAA contracts, etc.) and whitepapers.
You are responsible for:
Evaluating and managing Government Request for Proposal (RFP) requirement flow downs, technical and cost review timelines, and proposal preparations in collaboration with Program Offices, line organizations, and proposal teams.
Managing proposal cost activities in PROPRICER (pro-pricer) to ensure quality and consistency during cost volume development.
Designing and developing Cost Engineering Models (CEM) and Cost Estimating Relationships (CER) for proposals, concurrent engineering, and design-to-cost tasks.
Estimating recurring and non-recurring costs.
Providing proposal cost and price analysis (CAPA).
Preparing and overseeing engineering cost estimates and support Government negotiations.
Participating in the establishment and maintenance of cost engineering with a focus on continuous process improvement.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Math or Physics.
5+ years of demonstrated success leading on-time and on-budget cost proposal preparations in Aerospace & Defense.
Advanced proficiency in PROPRICER and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with FAR, DFARS, TINA, CAS, Contract Cost Principles, and Forward Pricing Rate Agreements.
Experience with electronics, mechanical systems and aerospace systems.
Experience developing a WBS, IMS, BOEs consistent with MIL-STD-881.
Familiarity with Cost of Spares, pricing model development and EVMS.
Familiarity with the product lifecycle from inception to delivery.
